When constructing in Austria, should we consider any restrictions concerning height of the structures?
Is there any style/design standards or recommendations in the region we should be following?
Are there any distance requirements when constructing close to the road?
Do we need any allowance to integrate non-native plant or a tree along the trail?





HUNDERTWASSER ZONE
Forest trail, grotto, adventure park, climbing zone, amphitheatre, treehouse hotels

  • Is it possible to make sidewalk from Semmering village, that allows pedestrians' access to the start of the trail?
  • There's an opening in a forest in the beginning of the forest road. As far as we know it is a part of gas infrastructure development. Is it possible that we use it to create a pathway for easy and safe entering to the future trail?
  • Do we have the rights to change the pavement of existing forest road? Can we close the access for this road for our own purposes or there are any specific demands for the trails? (e.g. full accessibility to the road) Current status of this road?
  • Do we have the rights to use flying objects (e.g quadrocopters, drones, etc) in the trail' area for delivery functions?
  • What does the process of connection to existing networks (water, electricity, sewers) consists of? Is there anything required for legal earthwork operations on the private land in Austria?
Forest trail
Climbing Zone and Rock Trail
As a part of our trail we plan to make via ferrata and few climbing paths using both natural terrain (e.g drilling it, making earthwork operations, etc) and installing man-made facilities (man-made climbing zones, installing climbing bolts in the rock, etc). Are there any regulations in Austria concerning it?

Treetop platform
Along the trail we plan to make different pathways, platforms, treehouses anchored to the trees.

Is it possible that we drill the tree to put the metal anchor inside?
Should we obtain any specific allowance or permission for tree cranking and cutting, forest management, dangerous trees removal in Austria?
Any allowance need for usage of wood from property? Any limits?
Treehouses hotel
Along the trail we plan to build different treehouses with facilities for purpose of renting.

  • Are there any standards for treehouse construction in Austria? What are the possibilities of the legal status of the treehouse
  • What are the local standards for snow load in this área
  • What requirements for fire resistance, Energy efficiency
  • Are there any specific sanitary standards for networks connection (energy, water, sewage and heating) -
  • Emergency exit or access?
Camping platform
We plan to build a platform up on the trees with basic facilities for overnight camping. What are requirements for outdoor sleeping areas in the region?
